What is measured and for what reason:

Control of the mash water to ensure the right amount and temperature for a successful process.

Why is it special:

Wrong temperatures prevent the enzymes from proper work, changing the sugar into monosaccharide or a simple sugar. Too much water will result in wort that is to weak, so that the wort boiling and evaporating takes longer.

How can it be solved best:

An Endress + Hauser Promag electromagnetic flow meter, linked in the control system with three temperature transmitter provide all needed information to run this Installation. The result is cross checked with the temperature sensor in the mash tun. TSM/TR 470
