What is measured and for what reason:

In carbonization units the product flow needs to be measured to define the dosing ratio for the carbon dioxide. The carbon dioxide pressure and flow is also measured and used to control the system.

Why is it special:

Beer that is brewed in a high gravity process, and also standard beer, needs to have a stable content of carbon dioxide. This is part of the product quality with great impact on the taste of a product. Pressure is important to solve the carbon dioxide in the liquid. If the pressure is not high enough, it will disappear again.

How can it be solved best:

The carbon dioxide flow needs to be very accurate. Here a Coriolis system is recommended. The Product flow is mostly measured with an electromagnetic sensor. For the pressure measurement a hydrostatic pressure transmitter can be used.
