Monitoring of the lauter tun with differential pressure

What is measured and for what reason:

The differential pressure is a value used to control the racking/cutting arm. A rising differential pressure will be follow by more intensively cutting. The brewer tries to avoid a vacuum below the false bottom, to keep the spend grains bed loose. The temperatures are around 80°C, the humidity can be very high in some brew houses.

Why is it special:

The differential pressure is very low. The process control needs highly accurate values. The temperature above and below might be different. The sensor needs to be protected against spent grains, blocking or damaging the membrane.

How can it be solved best:

A differential pressure measurement can be a tailored instrument for highly accurate measurement. For situations where the sensor can not be protected, the ceramic cell is a good solution
