Flow measurement in beer filtration

What is measured and for what reason:

Beer filtration needs to be monitored. To know how much beer from which batch was filtrated, a flow measurement is needed. The filtration itself is mostly monitored by differential pressure, but the flow rate is used to control the dosing in early stages of production, and to evaluate the process.

Why is it special:

A reliable, high accuracy instrument is needed to monitor this last step in production in order to get the correct controlling data. The support of the filter control system ensures a long and stable production cycle, which saves cost for the brewery.

How can it be solved best:

The Endress + Hauser Promag 50H flow meter is a full bore system which causes no pressure drop. It is highly accurate and the entire design fulfills the needs of a hygienic process. Constructed completely of stainless steel this instrument is suited for this high humidity / condensate environment.
