Online guide to help retail sector meet packaging reduction commitments

Monday 4 June 2007

A new online guide to help the retail sector meet its packaging reduction commitments is being launched by WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme).

Entitled the Guide to Evolving Packaging Design, it has been developed in response to demands for packaging advice from throughout the retail supply chain. It is being launched at a time when retailers and brands are announcing the challenging reduction targets that their customers are asking for. The guide provides advice and support to respond to these challenges as well as generate ideas.

Welcoming the launch, IGD head of policy initiatives James Northen, said: “Rapid change in the retail industry means that consistent and practical packaging design guidance is much needed. WRAP’s Guide to Evolving Packaging Design is a great new resource for all of those involved in designing and specifying packaging solutions.”
