A full line of elastomer compound with FDA clearance including use in fatty and non-fatty food applications

Wednesday 25 July 2007

GLS is pleased to announce that the entire line of DYNAFLEX® G2700 Series thermoplastic elastomer compounds have new FDA clearance for use in direct fatty food contact applications. The G2700 series, made with Kraton® polymers, has always had FDA approval for use in non-fatty food applications. This exciting change adds a wider array of materials available for this use to the custom compounds GLS already offers to meet the FDA requirements.

The primary benefit from the certification is that customers can use a single family of GLS TPE compounds for all of their food packaging applications. No other competitive compounds can make these claims for a full line of grades, according to GLS sources.
