What is measured and for what reason:

A point level switch is needed to ensure that the buffer silo is not overfilled. The spent grains are sold to farmers as animal feed. The amount is usually just measured during loading the truck, so the actual volume is often not measured. 

Why is it special:

The signal must be very reliable, to prevent the buffer from damage and the brewers from a  big mess and high waste water cost, if the silo overspills.

How can it be solved best:

The Endress + Hauser Liquiphant is a reliable instrument for this use. If the actual level is needed, a Levelflex is the right solution
