Tank truck equipment

What is measured and for what reason:

a) A reliable overspill protection is very important, to protect the tank from damage.
b) To ensure, that the product temperature have not reached a damaging level, temperature sensors and data logger are used to supply the full information of the transport.
c) To measure the correct load of a truck, a flow measure system is used.

Why is it special:

Tank trucks follow the same hygienic design requirements, all food installations do. Beside this, the process conditions are mostly rougher, because the truck is loaded / unloaded mostly outside. The vibration during the traveling times are an additional threat.

How can it be solved best:

a) the Endress+Hauser Liquiphant FTL is a most reliable instrument for overspill protection, even in the rough conditions.
b) Different temperature sensors, depending on the installation abilities are available. All Endress+Hauser temperature sensors build connected to a Minilog data logger, a very good foundation for a quality security system.
c) For the installation in food tank trucks, the flow sensors need to follow the physical need of the product. This can result in using as well a magnetic inductive flow meter, but also in a massflow system. Both need to be protected from extensive gas bubbles in the product, to deliver a stable result.
