Carbon Fibre

Carbon Fibre is a thermoset material used when performance characteristics of traditional thermosets don’t meet weight or stiffness requirements.

BULK MOULDING COMPOUND (BMC)

Characterized by its doughy texture, Bulk Moulding Compound (BMC) consists of polyester resin, glass fibre and various mineral Fillers.

Sheet Moulding Compound (SMC)

SMC is a high strength glass reinforced thermoset moulding material which is normally a compression moulded.

Resin Transfer Moulding (RTM) is a vacuum assisted closed moulding process. Resin Transfer Moulding or commonly known as RTM has excellent resin to glass ratio and excellent strength to weight ratios.

LONG GLASS FIBRE THERMOPLASTIC (LGFC)

LGFC materials are typically used where high strength is required in combination with toughness and impact performance.

Design Engineer

Work with our engineers to optimize the design to achieve the best results using composites. This includes part consolidation compared to other traditional styles.

Tool Build

CME will build your tools to deliver your program on time and on budget and work closely with our tool suppliers both nationally and internationally.

Material Development

CME will formulate a material to meet unique requirements for structural performance, impact absorption, food safe, fire resistance, electrical insulation.

Material Compounding

CME will manufacture you engineered raw materials in-house to ensure the quality. This gives our customers a unique difference over imports and competitors.

Validation

CME will validate materials and design before the tool build allowing for any changes to improve performance to be made.

Manufacture

CME will manufacture and assemble your product if required. This can also include painting with a Class A finish. We will also provide ongoing engineering support.
