KHS to showcase PET bottles at K 2010

KHS will be showcasing a range of PET bottles at the upcoming K 2010 trade show in Dusseldorf, Germany.

The German company said it would be presenting a number of PET bottle designs, as well as its InnoPET Blomax Series IV generation of stretch blow molders, and InnoPET Plasmax barrier coating at the show which kicks off on 27 October.

KHS said much of its recent focus has been on sustainability in lightweighting its containers, while maintaining their strength. It recently introduced its lightest 0.5 litre PET bottle weighing just 6.4 grams. It added that its “pioneering” 1.5-liter PET bottle for still water. The container, which weighs 17.9 grams, is currently undergoing tests for implementation in commercial production, said the company.
